We're on our 3rd month and so far so good. Sorry about not writing sooner. Wanted to wait until the hubby gave it a thumbs up. We can't wait to go to bed. We're so glad we went with the real stuff. By the way please thank Sarah, she was the reason why we bought over the phone.

Thanks Adam for helping me pick the right topper density. I was so confused on why I should pay more for the higher density. Now that I've received my topper I finally understand. My first purchase was from one of the big box stores. I thought I saved hundreds by buying "almost tempurpedic" - The first 6 months were great. then I started to notice that where I laid it was beginning to lose it's.... It's hard for me to describe, it started to feel like regular foam and I could feel my self bottoming out. When I explained this to Adam, he explained to me that most likely the topper had fillers to make the foam "appear" to be heavier or in other words a higher density. Once the fillers waste away the foam loses it's support factor. I didn't know you could add fillers to foam to make it appear heavier. Adam explained to me that this was a common practice with some imported foam manufacturers. If they can make the foam "heavier" then the reseller could sell the topper at a higher price. The consumer wouldn't be able to discover this type of deception.
You SHOULD look for the best price but make sure you're getting the best price for the least amount of money. My 5lb topper was more then half the price of tempurpedic and I love it! For all of you shoppers out there don't get suckered by these other vendors who try to tell you that a higher density topper is firmer. It is not! It's more supportive. Plain and simple... The higher the density, the better support it will give you and the longer it will last. ILD is the firmness indicator. If a 3 pound topper has a 15 ILD it will bottom out compared to a 5lb topper with a 15 ILD. Both toppers have the same firmness yet the cheaper less dense will not give you the same support.
I hope this helps you on your shopping. Shop Smart. - When buying foam, follow these simple steps and you should save a lot of money.
1. Make sure the exact size of the topper is advertised and don't assume that just because they advertise it as a queen it will 60x80 - A common trick is to short cut the foam. I saw one site that had a queen at 56 x 76
2. Stick with Made in the USA. If they put lead in our childrens toys, I don't think they would hesitate to put harmful chemicals in memory foam.
3. Buy by weight. This site explains it nicely. Basically the site should have the weight of the topper that you're buying instead of advertising a density only. There are lots of sellers out there that are advertising 5lb but are shipping you 4lb
These are the main reasons why I went with memoryfoam.com - I also liked the fact that their foam was good for the environment and wasn't hot to sleep on.
